A neighborhood park in Huntington is getting a new addition.
Former University of Kentucky Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart will shift into a part-time fundraising under a new contract amendment that also provides four years of severance payments totaling $3.06 million, according to the agreement executed June 30, 2026. That was Barnhart’s last day as UK AD.
The crash happened around 4:05 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Marietta Charleston WV Yard on Pennsylvania Avenue.
